@dymaxion The east village in the 70's and early 80's was the incubator for so much incredible culture and art, but there are definitely things I don't miss about it.
But safety has come at a terrible price. The beautiful weirdos who made it so rich can't afford to live there any more

@dymaxion The beginning of the end was when it became "The East Village" instead of just the LES or Alphabet City. As soon as real estate agents rename your neighborhood, you're in trouble.
